Device Magic’s Mobile Forms Can Now Reference Live SQL Resources
Live SQL databases can now be used with Device Magic to pre-populate form field options, questions, and file resources.
Raleigh, NC, September 11, 2020 – Device Magic, a top-rated mobile app used to collect data from field teams, announced today the ability for customers to integrate live SQL resources. Enterprise users can now take their already existing database tables and sync them with Device Magic, allowing for updates to their database to be passed seamlessly.
Device Magic’s Resources function saves users time spent searching for or re-entering existing data, translating to more quality data, by eliminating entry for information that can be pre-populated. With Resources customers are able to enhance the way they use Mobile Forms.
One use-case for Resources is the ability to have select list options. This simplifies the form completion process for your users and ensures a consistent answer format. Instead of users typing in the answers to the question, they can quickly choose the correct answer from the list provided through your Resource.
Device Magic currently has five Resource types customers can utilize. Upload file enables you to attach a file so it can be downloaded by a user and viewed within a mobile form. Device Magic Live Database allows previously collected data to be referenced when completing submissions. Google Sheets Live Resource users are able to take their already existing sheets in Google Drive and sync them with Device Magic. Map Overlay permits users to take an image and position it on a map (GPS location, size, rotation) within the form builder. And now, SQL Live Resource, where customers can use their own database tables with Device Magic.
