How to Use Forms Automation to Dispatch Forms from Your Apps

Device Magic mobile forms integrations

No matter what industry you’re in, chances are you’re using more than one platform or application to get work done. You’ve got an app for finance and one for customer relationship management (CRM). You might be using a time management app and a project management solution. The fact is, you use lots of apps and systems on a daily basis and they all collect their own set of data. With Zapier, these apps and solutions become a connected business automation system.

Zapier lets you easily connect your apps to smoothly transfer data between them and helps automate tedious tasks. Device Magic has integrated with Zapier, allowing users to automatically transfer their forms’ submission data into their existing apps. Now, Device Magic is taking things one step further.

Dispatch Device Magic forms from Zapier.

Device Magic users on an Enterprise account can now dispatch a mobile form from almost any connected Zapier app simply by building a Zap.

What’s a Zap?

A Zap is a connection between two apps made of a trigger and an action. Whenever the trigger event happens, Zapier will automatically make the action event happen for you. With this new feature, dispatching a form is the action. You decide what the trigger is, using your existing apps.

Why would I dispatch a form?

Say you need to send a technician out to complete a specific one-time job. A Device Magic user can design a job-specific form and send it to the tech’s mobile device. The tech can then use the mobile form to capture the job-related data and submit it. The form will then disappear from the tech’s mobile device.

How would I use it?

  • When a new task, issue or project is created in your project management app, a specific Device Magic form could be triggered and sent to a specific mobile device.
  • When a user receives a new timesheet or schedule, a specific Device Magic form could be sent to the user’s mobile device.
  • When you receive an email to a specific email address, a form could be dispatched to a specific mobile device.
  • When a new case or opportunity is created, a specific form is dispatched to a user’s mobile device.

So make way for mobile forms automation; because the more work tasks you can automate, the better.
